Center of culture heritage and historic monuments Zaawansowane systemy wytwarzania i materiały
Center of culture heritage and historic monuments was established by Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science and Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics of the AGH University of Science and Technology on the basis of research conducted on culture heritage and historic monuments by means of scientific and technological methods. The researchers in the Center focus on: imaging of distributions of characteristic elements in artworks and depth profiling by means of X-ray fluorescence, analyses of the elemental composition of materials in historical buildings, archaeometric analysis of ceramics and glasses. These works are carried out in close cooperation with Polish and foreign museums. The aims of the center are as follows: expanding the scope of research, strengthening coordination and cooperation with museums, exchanging experiences and promoting of new research methods and new results in the Polish society.
