Competence Center “e-Technologies” was established by the Scientific and Industrial Council of Consortium IATI in 12 May 2016. It operates inside the Subject Area of IATI called “Information and communication technologies”. The coordinator of the Center is Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, in detail the Faculty of Electronics, represented by three leading Departments of Electronics Faculty, namely: Telecommunications and Teleinformatics Department; Department of Control Systems and Mechatronics; Department of Computer Engineering. Knowledge and Innovation Community for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT Cluster)”, established in 2007, is also the valid and crucial partner of the Competence Centre, which provides the “bridge” between academia, research, innovations and business.

The Center brings together professionals derived from science, business and industry, those which creatively combine and use modern information and communication technologies, based on computer science and engineering, electronics, networks, tele-communications and other similar solutions. All these technologies have a common reference to the direct application of broadly perceived e-technologies in various areas of industry, daily life, education, transportation, entertainment, and so on.

The basic goals of the Center “e-Technologies” include scientific and application research, implementations, expertises, measurements, testing, unique projects, education in the field of information technology, telecommunications, mechatronics, industrial informatics, computer networks, process automation, mobile technology, cybersecurity, telemedicine, multimedia systems, artificial intelligence, smart cities, and many others.

With the concentration of knowledge and its effective use by nearly 80 members of the ICT Cluster, and therefore the University, companies, local government organizations and companies the business environment, the basic goals of the Center of Competence “e-Technologies” will be implemented.
