Center of Satellite Environmental Monitoring Środowisko
Areas of special interest of the Center of Satellite Environmental Monitoring are:
- development of the satellite SAR data processing methods (radar interferometry and polarimetry methods)
- development of the satellite multispectral/hyperspectral data processing methods
- application of satellite data for different issues of environmental monitoring
- advanced analysis of spatial data
- creating and management of spatial database
- development of software for satellite data processing
About the Center
The Center of Satellite Environmental Monitoring brings together research institutions and private companies that have extensive experience in the exploitation of wide range of satellite data to study different kinds of environmental processes. The aim of the Center is to implement projects dedicated to the development and implementation of satellite technology in such key issues like: natural hazards monitoring, analysis of pollutants, biomass study, identification of changes in land use or monitoring natural and anthropogenic ground deformations. Said analysis, covering only part of the center competence, can be done based on wide range of satellite data, among which radar and multispectral images can be distinguished.
