Many scientific institutions and enterprises focused of waste management, including organic and mineral waste natural management, are engaged in the centre of competence. Thanks to a cooperation between numerous entities from the world of science and business the Competence Centre – TWPZO possess an essential experience in conducting of research and development works and in commercialization of research results.

Special interest spheres of TWPZO Competence Centre
TWPZO Competence Centre focuses its R&D, industrial and introductory activity in spheres like: natural waste and sediment management, organic and mineral waste processing, preparing solutions to introduce product basing on waste for distribution, methane fermentation, processes microbiology, biotechnology, remediation, reclamation, municipal sludge works, water and wastewater management, individual systems of sewage treatment, municipal sewage sediments issues, cataloguing of natural elements of environment.

TWPZO Centre has both competences and experience in areas of:
- planning of works and scientific-introductory research, technological solutions, implementation for enterprises,
- management in projects, supervising and execution of scientific research, including experiments and in a range of work in laboratories and pattern
- expert and scientific opinions in a range of waste production issues and its management, landscaping, cataloguing of environmental assets
- building authorization and construction and material solutions
- education in range of shaping and protection of environment and its surrounding, agronomy, technological processes of waste natural management,
TWPZO Competence Centre possess scientific achievements and practical experience in range of shaping and protection of agricultural environment, municipal sludge management, organic waste processing technology, sewage treatment technology including house sewage works, sewage sediments management, environmental assets cataloguing.

Proposed research areas:
- management and processing of organic waste from different branches of industry including: municipal sewage sediments, gastronomic waste, natural and chicory coffee grounds, paper industry waste, water treatment sediments, industrial production minerals,
- management and processing of bottom sediments from reservoirs, biomass furnace ash, ashes from burning of bituminous and lignite coal, management of post-carbide, post-sodium waste and other mineral waste
